Hi,
I have a degree in social work from the U.S. (BSW) my question is how many hours do I need to work in the U.S. as a social worker before I can work in the UK? I have hours from my internship (400 hours) and recently graduated.
I would appreciate any information you could provide.
Thank you,
Rene´

Good luck!
Rene,
To work as a Social worker in the UK, you wil first have to register with the GSCC there: http://www.gscc.org.uk
Irrespective you your hours, it’s the content of your knowledge and coursework which will help determine if you are eligible to practice SW in the UK. Hope this helps. Good Luck!
